YOU'RE ONE TO TALK SIR

Posted on 06:00 by Unknown

Last week Speaker Boehner posted this statement to his facebook page.

Today was supposed to be the day that President Obama submitted his budget. But for the fourth time in five years, it’s late. With high unemployment, high gas prices, and sky-rocketing debt hurting the economy and chasing jobs overseas, it’s long past time President Obama started taking trillion-dollar deficits more seriously. Later this week, the House will act on a measure to require the President to offer a plan to balance the budget, because we know – and the American people agree – that spending is the problem.

My response is as follows:

Mr. Speaker, you're one to talk.

How many times has the House tried to repeal ObamaCare...? 34 times? And how many times has repeal gotten through? ZERO.

Perhaps it is a sign to try and do something else. Maybe for starters pass the Violence Against Women Act. How did the GOP do in the recent election among Women Voters? (Hint: not very good)

Perhaps you could pass a robust Veterans Jobs bill that funds training for critical skills and an expanded GI Bill for our returning service members.

Here is an idea: remember the Super Bowl last night? The Blackout during the 3rd quarter? Maybe pass a large infrastructure bill that fixes our aging power grid and worn out roads. I assume that you know this that as a small business owner that if our roads are in terrible shape, you are spending more money on maintenance of your transport vehicles due to having to repair damages received driving on poor roads when that money could be use to grow the business.

Anyways, these are suggestions. I'm not expecting the GOP to lead on solving our country's problems anytime soon.

Respectfully,

Anyways....

I am not the only person that feels that the US House will continue its dysfunctional ways that existed in the 112th Congress. On the first day of the 113th Congress, Rep. Michele Bachmann submitted a bill to overturn ObamaCare on the first day of the new Congress.

Again... I responded with this:

This the House Republicans when it comes to this endless effort to repeal ObamaCare instead of focusing on the real issues:

It is obvious that Republicans in Congress haven't learned from the 2012 Elections and will face their reckoning from a pissed off electorate in November 2014.

I can't wait to vote these fools out.
